Typical System Components and Options
Design
It’s important that the house load requirements match the ground loop if not you can have chronic problems
Loop
There are three main types of loops:
1. Vertical loop
2. Horizontal loop
3. Open loop
All of these work well if designed correctly, the property usually dictates what would work best.
Equipment
Typically two types:
1. Water to water unit used for radiant or domestic hot water
2. Water to air unit forced air with ductwork. They have different types and efficiency
